È uscito il nuovo singolo di Matteo Bocelli “Chasing Stars” (Capitol Records/Universal Music), scritto da Ed e Matthew Sheeran. “Chasing Stars” è una ballad, prodotta da PARISI (Ed Sheeran, Fred Again), che mette in mostra le qualità vocali e interpretative di Matteo; un emozionante racconto del rapporto padre/figlio che lo stesso Ed Sheeran spiega così: “’Chasing Stars’ è stato scritto da me e mio fratello Matthew su nostro padre e su come ci ha supportato quando eravamo più giovani con la nostra musica. Amo la versione con Matteo. Lui è un talento vero”.

“When I was younger, my father was my hero / Let me hop on his shoulders, we sang to the moon”, canta Matteo all’inizio della canzone, raccontando poi la storia di un padre che incoraggia suo figlio a “essere chi sei”.

“Come i fratelli Sheeran – afferma Bocelli – sono cresciuto in una famiglia in cui la musica era centrale nelle nostre vite. Ed e Matthew hanno scritto la canzone, ma sembra che l’abbiano scritta appositamente per me. Lavorare con loro è stato un privilegio”.

Ad accompagnare l’uscita del brano anche il video ufficiale, diretto da Gaetano Morbioli e girato nella bellissima Jamaica Beach sul Lago di Garda. “Chasing Stars” è tratto da “Matteo”, l’album di debutto del cantautore in uscita il prossimo 22 settembre che conterrà 12 tracce in inglese e italiano, già disponibile in Pre-Order e pre-save.

Dopo il successo dei suoi live in California quest’estate, a settembre Matteo Bocelli tornerà dal vivo con il suo primo tour mondiale, organizzato e prodotto da Live Nation, che partirà il 30 settembre da Berlino e toccherà ben 12 paesi, inclusi Stati Uniti e Medio Oriente con ben 30 date.
